Colsman Forming offers a comprehensive range of surface finishes that are carried out entirely in-house. This enables us to ensure consistently high quality, short throughput times and an economically optimized process chain - especially in combination with our upstream forming processes. This results in components that are both technically and economically convincing.

Our focus in the area of anodizing is on technical anodized coatings that are specially designed for demanding industrial applications. These coatings are characterized by high hardness and excellent resistance to highly alkaline media. Especially in highly abrasive processes in the textile industry as well as in medical and sanitary technology, our anodized surfaces prove themselves through their robustness and durability. Even under extreme operating conditions, the components remain permanently functional and wear-resistant.

During pickling, we produce metallically pure, absolutely clean surfaces, which are essential for applications in the pharmaceutical industry in particular. The process removes scale, oxides and the finest residues, creating a surface that meets the highest purity and hygiene requirements. This quality is crucial for components that are used in sterile or particularly sensitive environments.

Electropolishing ensures stainless steel surfaces of outstanding quality. The electrochemical removal creates an extremely smooth, shiny and hygienically optimized surface. In addition to the high-quality appearance, the components benefit from significantly reduced roughness, improved corrosion resistance and reduced adhesion of particles or media. This makes the process ideal for medical technology, the food and pharmaceutical industries and for all applications in which stainless steel must meet the highest functional and aesthetic requirements.

With glass bead blasting, we use fine glass beads to create a particularly even, matt and homogeneous surface. The process is much gentler than traditional sandblasting and does not change the structure of the material surface, but instead ensures that the edge zone is gently compacted. The result is a high-quality surface that is free from tarnishing, slight burrs or fine impurities.

Glass bead blasting is ideal for components that require a defined surface structure, a uniform appearance or a clean, reproducible pre-treatment for subsequent processes. As the blasting technology is carried out entirely in-house, the process remains closely integrated into our production chain - with short throughput times, high reproducibility and maximum process reliability.
